I love this time of year and I am planning on enjoying every moment of it. Since I want my kids to enjoy it too, I created this Countdown to Halloween calendar so we can have a little fun each day. I loaded each daily envelope with a joke, piece of candy or a fall activity.
I’m also making one for Thanksgiving where each night we all write 1 thing we’re thankful for and guess what we’ll have at the end of the month?? a whole book of thankfulness.
Then soon I will post the Christmas Countdown calendar I did last year. Not sure where I got the idea, but it turned out so cute!
Gather supplies. I used all scraps and leftovers. Cost = $0
cut at least 36 squares 2.75 x 2.5
finished 2.75 x 2.5 squares
use a 1-inch circle punch to cut a half-circle at the top of each envelope
decide how you want your envelopes laid out
Glue the bottom and two sides only to leave room for slipping in treats
decorate with embellishments and dates
just get random and have fun
use ribbon and staples to attach the two sides together and hang it up
staple short pieces of ribbon to attach
hang it up however you like. i added a bat for a little extra fright.
Very nice andrea. My boys can’t wait for halloween. It’ll be here in no time.
