retrohipmama: week 20 <——i’ve stopped naming them

first week back to work and it actually felt good to get dressed.

inspired by a grey and turquoise outfit on pinterest.

needed to be a jeans and white tee kinda day. but when i got the sudden twinge for a cool fall day i decided to pretend it wasn’t going to be 97 degrees. the belt and the shoes both have buckles but totally bought seperate of each other and not meant to match…but cool that they do!

if you’ve been following my blog for a while you might remember this dress:

well, the bodice just never felt right. no matter how i many times i tried it on…something just wasn’t right. but we spent sooo much time on it that i didn’t want it to sit in the closet. so i took it apart and re-sewed the waistband to the skirt only and ta-da!

felt like dressing up for no reason at all. i wasn’t seeing a client but i was itchin to wear this burgundy shirt from a friend with my favorite shoes EVER. it’s hard to see but i stretched out from my normal ways and wore a light pink shirt under it instead of a white one i would have gone with. then i got a little playful with a pair of costume glasses my hubby used in one of his short films.

  1. You totally rock these outfits girl!! Seriously how do you do it??? I want a magic closet like yours, pleeeeease!!! My bday is in 3 days so please fly out this way and go shopping with me. Each day your outfit just got better and better but they are all a tie. Love that you could match the turqoise/gray one you found, those are beautiful colors, you did great!! The second outfit is adorable and how cool when things not planned match together, cute shoes/belt. Way to go on changing the dress to a skirt, love you in yellow with your coloring. The last one you are smokin that outfit and the pictures who took those??? love love them. Great idea with the pink shirt under it.

You really did great your first week back, way to go!
