weekly wrap up 2013 // week 26

weekly wrapup_4x4

monday // june 24:

another 18 hour workday ended with THE BEST chipotle tawnya and i have ever had. since we are so particular about our food there, we were skeptical about stopping at a location on our way home. but the ratios of everything were perfect, the beans were piping hot and the chips were a perfect crunch and saltiness. i mean, PER-FECT. we could have eaten everything but we made good decisions to stop when we were full. πŸ™‚

wednesday // june 26:

the boys had an afternoon at the park. gibson was clearly not thrilled about the photo op.

thursday // june 27:

a protein packed dinner after an intense workout. this kind of meal is a staple in our house. we always have grilled chicken for the week so proteins are easy to grab to make lunches and dinners. this one is evoo and minced garlic with chicken, zuke, red cabbage and asparagus, with lemon juice and pepper. it all goes in one skillet until the veggies are tender. makes a delicious meal that satisfies.

post-shred dinner. all protein and veggies. no carbs.

friday // june 28:

this will be the coolest day of the next 7 days. oy vey.

this is my that's-a-big-number-and-i-am-not-thrilled face. #thisisjustthebeginning #ijustmightmelt #summer #instaweather

tawnya and i decided to head out for a morning walk before it got too hot. it was 11:30 and 92 degrees but we found shade to walk in and did almost a mile.

not too warm for a stroll around the buildings with @tastone. it was actually more like a brisk walk aaaaand it was kinda hot. felt great tho!

found this in my purse and felt bad that there are so many stars left unpunched. trying to convince matt that they need to get some love too, but it didn’t work. πŸ™‚

saturday // june 29:

we managed to stay indoors most of the day beings that it got to 108*. but we had to venture out for dinner with the parents. we had the most delicious grilled teriyaki chicken and pineapple with sweet conversations with my MIL and her mom. the little boys played together while the big guys played poker. we had a truly great evening!

i saw this on pinterest last week and thought it was perfect for today. i did have some coke with my rum, but didn’t start drinking until after 6. so i’m neither pirate nor alcoholic, i just like a good rum and coke sometimes. πŸ™‚

sunday // june 30:

matt and i were able to walk a mile at the park this morning. so nice to get out just the two of us.

we can judge us because we HAVE walked a mile in our shoes. #sundaymorningwalks

trying to give myself some more desk space and found some great ways to get supplies up off the desk surface. oh, and with stuff i already had, didn’t cost a penny to make the changes! more details on the blog this week.

i've been in this house for only 2 months and i've already found ways to improve my craft space. most excitingly, my washi tape has a fun new home!

hope you’ve been happy and productive this week too. see you next week!
