the whole30 project // featuring REFLECTIONS kit by sweet stamp shop

hi and happy friday! i hope you have some serious crafty plans for the weekend! 🙂

so today i am over at the Sweet Stamp Shop blog, sharing more projects i completed using the REFLECTIONS kit.

on august 5th, i started to embark on the Whole30 food journey as a way to retrain my body to crave real food instead of the junk that has held me captive for years. and wouldn’t you know it, but the Reflections kit was the perfect way to document this adventure in my ongoing album about ME.

this 6×8 page is my opening and it was so much fun using so many of the cards and embellishments from the kit. the question and answer card is my favorite piece and was perfect for a short interview with myself. the questions are so much deeper than the typical currently or favorite lists we all know and love, so i appreciated that my answers truly reflected my fears and goals.

as a fun treat, i filmed a video during the process of completing this opening page. check it out right here!

there’s more details on my post over at the Sweet Stamp Shop blog, so click on over and check out a few more pages!

OH!!! and next week i will continue to share more of my album, which includes many more pieces from this sweet kit. please join me here on wednesday the 3rd!

as always, it’s been a pleasure to share this sweet kit with all of you!

until next time, happy scrapping!

sweet stamp shop // april release #2

hello there sweet friends!

it’s time for another set of new releases from sweet stamp shop! this release is full of adorable cuteness, once again!!

let’s look at the sets that are available today:

owl be genius hedgehog kiss busy octopus artsy fartsy

for this release, i’ll be showing off owl be genius, hedgehog kiss and mr. octopus. all can be found in the sweet stamp shop.

okay, seriously…all of these stamps are super cute and have so many uses. here are a few ways i used them in my project life layouts.

marshall was given a whole long stand of stickers at trader joe’s, probably by using his charm and gorgeous eyes. but i thought this owl set was the perfect way to document it.

this set has no particular use yet, but i got new supplies that have a woodsy homey feel and i wanted to use them with these adorable little heggies.

mr. octopus was the perfect set to document the digital life my 12 year old lives in. he loves his iPod touch and loves to text and chat and game.

just a few ideas here to get you thinking….stamps definitely have a place in your project life world!

if you need more convincing, head on over to the sweet stamp shop blog to see other ways our design team has used these adorable stamps! and then you can use discount code AR10 for 10% off the new release today only!

and let me know which ones you decided on…they’re all so cute!

happy scrapping!

sweet stamp shop // april release #1

hello sweet friends!

hello april

april brings us so many new things. blossoms, green grass and the feeling of fresh. don’t you love the newness that spring brings?

you know what else april brings? NEW STAMPS!!!
that’s right, the sweet stamp shop is at it again with 8 new designs! 4 of which will be released today and 4 more in 2 weeks!
two that i’m going to show off today are emotions and feeling today. both are available now but you’d better check out the sweet stamp shop facebook event first to catch a sweet discount code. or go there now and use coupon code NRA15 for 15% off the new stuff!

emotions feeling today

for our 13th anniversary, i made a layout that described how i felt that day, and in our relationship in general. 🙂

used both main pieces from feeling today along with a little anatomy of love down at the bottom…because it just felt like it belonged there.

this layout includes a card i made to document a particularly difficult day for me. using as many pieces from the emotions set that described that day was actually quite therapeutic. i thought that the words i picked would end up all being negative but when i really thought about how i handled the situation, i realized that some positive emotions were definitely present. yay!

and with a stamp set like this one, the possibilities of expression in your pocket layouts are endless.

these two stamps will be making plenty of appearances in my albums because there’s a million ways to use them.
so head over to the shop to grab your own before they’re sold out…which has happens every time we release new set!

sweet stamp shop // march release #2

being on the design team for sweet stamp shop means that i get to share these delicious stamps that are absolutely perfect for pocket scrapbooking.

if you missed the first release, check it out here. as for the second release, you’re gonna LOVE this set.
outline lower alpha is my absolute favorite favorite favorite!

i love the outline because it is PERFECT for titles and doesn’t feel cluttered. it also has this hand-drawn kind of feel that gives that tiny bit of imperfection that i’m learning to embrace!

lower outline alpha

here’s an easy way to mix stamps with printed elements. the lower alpha stamps fit perfectly on this dear lizzy name tag.

the other amazing thing about the sweet stamps, is they can easily work together. on this title card, i mixed a piece from speech bubble and the number and hashtag from outline upper alpha and the week in outline lower alpha.

i love that i can stamp directly on photos as well!

below is another example of mixing the stamp sets. alpha tabs make an appearance along with this month’s release. on this card, instead of spelling out the whole word together on one stamp block, i stamped the letters in favorite one at a time so i could make them closer together. just shows how versatile these alpha stamps are!

my 30 days of lists are seeing this stamp set too. again, it’s perfect for all kinds of titles!

be sure to stop by the sweet stamp shop and grab some of the cute sets before they’re sold out! check out the new releases in the shop HERE – also, the coupon code is good today only for 10% off the new release stamp sets. Coupon code: NRM10. but if they are sold out, check back, we’ll be restocking soon! and the facebook page always keeps you up to date on new releases and special deals.

see you soon friends and happy crafting!

sweet stamp shop // march release #1

it’s release day at sweet stamp shop!  there are so many new stamp designs for march that there will be 2 separate releases…that’s right…2 releases! if you don’t want to miss out on some fabulous deals, join the march release #2 facebook event so you can be notified about the new items up for grabs.

one of my favorites that is new this month is this super sweet outline upper alpha set. it’s a staple in any pocket scrapper’s collection. the size is perfect for quick titles!

in this layout, i had a gorgeous picture of the setting sun but i didn’t want to clutter and cover it up with my usual tag or shape and this upper alpha was the perfect solution. because it’s an outline, it shows off the title while not covering up the photo.

normally, stamping directly on a photo requires certain techniques or ink but i just used my everyday memento ink pad and let the stamp dry a bit longer before i slipped it into the pocket. i let it dry for about 15 minutes.

and if you hold the stamp pretty steady, you won’t get too much slipping around.

another set i’m loving is speech bubble. there’s just so many possibilities!

a simple little bubble, stamped onto a patterned paper, cut out and the cutest little sentiment stamped inside. sweet and simple.

in a couple weeks i’ll share more sets that are new to the shop. you’ve got to grab yourself some of these goodies while they’re still available. visit sweet stamp shop to pick up some for yourself or if you need more ideas, head over to the blog and see what the rest of the design team has created!

happy stamping and happier scrapping!

here’s a few ways i’ve used them:

this is using the anatomy of love set which i have been swooning over! i added the chart and words to a studio calico card and called it a winner!

the lowercase letters here are perfect for making your own titles.

so look for more of these cute little stamps in my project life pages!
