TIME and LISTEN

We all have our reasons for picking these words so I can only speak for myself. I picked two words because I honestly felt both of them tugging at me.

Definition of TIME

noun
1: the measured or measurable period during which an action, process, or condition exists or continues
2: a nonspatial continuum that is measured in terms of events which succeed one another from past through present to future
3: an appointed, fixed, or customary moment or hour for something to happen, begin, or end

I don’t have a lot of time so I basically need to use it more wisely. Make TIME to play. Save TIME for fun. Don’t waste TIME. Take TIME to listen. Enjoy TIME with a smile. Go back in TIME with grace. Stop TIME with patience. These are the ideas I’m concentrating on. How badly I wanted to use some of these other words like play and grace and fun didn’t matter. This is my first one little word and I felt it needed to be something I really needed to work on. Like listening…

Definition of LISTEN

intransitive verb
1: to pay attention to sound
2: to hear something with thoughtful attention : give consideration
3: to be alert to catch an expected sound

The problem with this word is that I don’t listen very well. I am a visually learner. Spoken words are difficult for my brain to compute so…I have quite a challenge ahead of me. It’s a challenge I am excited about and ready to take on. This weekend I am going to make little reminders to keep in different spots in our lives. Over time, I might have these words all over our house, car, office and school desk. Sound like fun? Go ahead…pick a word for yourself!

project.oneword // visualize it

project.oneword // time for trains

matt and gibson even got involved:
matt = BALANCE

gibson = SELF CONTROL
